Club Now Open, Roof Works Completed

We are pleased to advise that Parks Victoria's planned Asbestos Roof Works have now been completed, therefore the Club can now be safely reopened for all members use and enjoyment.

Asbestos Roof Work 26th - 29th July 2022

We have a rescheduled date for the investigative work on the asbestos roof that had to be cancelled 2 weeks ago due to rain. The full club site will have to be closed to all members next week from 7pm Tuesday morning 26th July to Friday 29th July at 5pm.

Invitation to Club AGM 2021-22

All WSC Members are invited and welcome to attend our Annual General Meeting at 2pm on Sunday 24 July, 2022 upstairs at the clubhouse.

Last Sail and Presentation Day

The last social sail of the season on Saturday 28th May saw a good turn out on a cool autumn still day, with the Presentation of trophies for the season starting at 4 pm.

Notice of Community Engagement meetings

All WSC Members are invited to attend one of the planned WSC member community meetings to be held in May to discuss and learn of the outcomes from the Redevelopment Subcommittee’s work over the last 18 Months.

Autumn Series at Altona YC

Altona Yacht Club are running an 8 race Autumn series in May, and are inviting Williamstown to take part.

WSC Club Regatta Program

Williamstown Sailing Club is hosting its Annual Regatta on Saturday 30th April / Sunday 1st May 2022, following the successful inauguration of the Regatta in 2021.

Top of the Bay Regatta at Altona this coming Saturday 12th

This coming Saturday (12th February), Williamstown Sailing Club is taking part in the Top of the Bay (TOTB) inter-club challenge at Altona Yacht Club (AYC). You are invited and indeed encouraged to take part. Note that the Event is NOT at Elwood Sailing Club as was originally gazetted.

Club Updates and changes due to ongoing Covid situation

The Victorian Government has extended its Pandemic Declaration for another 3 months, and I am sure during that time there will be various changes to regulations and restrictions, depending on what is happening in our communities. We will only send out notification of major changes that impact your use and activity at the Club. An updated WSC Covid Safe Plan will be uploaded to the website in the next few days covering some changes.

COVID-19: Impact on sailing at the Club

As you are aware, we are heading into the 2022 parts of our sailing season surrounded by COVID-19. The Sailing Committee has decided not to alter our Sailing Calendar or to cancel events, but obviously the situation is changing daily.

WSC Xmas wishes and Mask Update

I would like to wish every one of you and your family members a safe, healthy and happy festive season and a prosperous New Year for 2022. If you are travelling away for the holidays, please take care on the roads and enjoy your time away. This challenging Covid experience is not going away in a hurry and I encourage all of you to stay safe and look after yourselves, and when visiting the Club remember to check in with the QR code system.
