Get Moving in a Minnow provides an opportunity for junior sailors to further develop their confidence and sailing and racing skills in the Minnow junior class. Skills covered includes independently rigging your boat, launch and recovery, setting sails correctly for the wind direction, advanced sailing and racing techniques, and capsizing drills. This course aims to build on skills learnt in Tackers 2 and Junior Fleet.
Please note that this course is tailored to meet the needs of the participants and therefore run as a Club event rather than as an accredited Australian Sailing course.

21 hours tuition with accredited Australian Sailing Instructors
Prerequisites
This course is best suited to children and teenagers aged 8 -14 who are water-confident in sailing alone. It is recommended that participants have complete Tackers 2 or 3, or participated in Junior Fleet
All participants must provide their own boat, have a minimum of 3rd party insurance, and have signed the Club's Safety Declaration. There may be opportunities to hire or borrow a Minnow from another Club member, but this will be a private arrangement between the parties.
