Club Fishing
Fishing at Williamstown Sailing Club
There is a long tradition of fishing activities at Williamstown Sailing Club. Fishing membership was introduced around the Great Depression years of the early 1930s. We currently have about 20 members who participate in both fishing and sailing activities, and approximately 80 members who have fishing as their main Club activity. Most fishing members own their own boats, and these are either moored on Parks Victoria moorings near the clubhouse, or are on our approved Ramp Access list. There is a waiting list for boat ramp access, and any potential new members or current members wishing to go on that list should email secretary@williamstownsailingclub.org.au. Our fishing members vary from those who go it alone and keep their secret fishing spots to themselves, to social groups who go out in several boats together to share the enjoyment of the activity. |
