Vale Life Member Russell Bates (14th May 1935 - 19th December 2022)

The Committee of Management is truly saddened by the sudden passing of our one of our former Commodores, Club Champion and respected Life Member, Russell Bates. Russell will be forever in our hearts. We salute a fellow sailor, friend and true gentleman. Thanks for the many memories Russ. Our sincere condolences to his family and many friends. The funneral was held on 29th December and was well attended by Family, Friends and Sailing and Tennis Club members.
