Notice of Community Engagement meetings

All WSC Members are invited to attend one of the planned WSC member community meetings to be held in May to discuss and learn of the outcomes from the Redevelopment Subcommittee’s work over the last 18 Months.

Autumn Series at Altona YC

Altona Yacht Club are running an 8 race Autumn series in May, and are inviting Williamstown to take part.

WSC Club Regatta Program

Williamstown Sailing Club is hosting its Annual Regatta on Saturday 30th April / Sunday 1st May 2022, following the successful inauguration of the Regatta in 2021.

Top of the Bay Regatta at Altona this coming Saturday 12th

This coming Saturday (12th February), Williamstown Sailing Club is taking part in the Top of the Bay (TOTB) inter-club challenge at Altona Yacht Club (AYC). You are invited and indeed encouraged to take part. Note that the Event is NOT at Elwood Sailing Club as was originally gazetted.

Club Updates and changes due to ongoing Covid situation

The Victorian Government has extended its Pandemic Declaration for another 3 months, and I am sure during that time there will be various changes to regulations and restrictions, depending on what is happening in our communities. We will only send out notification of major changes that impact your use and activity at the Club. An updated WSC Covid Safe Plan will be uploaded to the website in the next few days covering some changes.

COVID-19: Impact on sailing at the Club

As you are aware, we are heading into the 2022 parts of our sailing season surrounded by COVID-19. The Sailing Committee has decided not to alter our Sailing Calendar or to cancel events, but obviously the situation is changing daily.

WSC Xmas wishes and Mask Update

I would like to wish every one of you and your family members a safe, healthy and happy festive season and a prosperous New Year for 2022. If you are travelling away for the holidays, please take care on the roads and enjoy your time away. This challenging Covid experience is not going away in a hurry and I encourage all of you to stay safe and look after yourselves, and when visiting the Club remember to check in with the QR code system.

Club is now Open for Members

Congratulations to everyone, Victoria has reached the 80% double vaccination level for people 16+, so we are very pleased to announce the Club opened for members and visitors on Saturday, 30th October.

70% Target reached- What that means for WSC Members

We are nearly there - 70% of the community over 16 years of age are now double dosed and we are likely to hit the 80% target by the 31st October. Congratulations to all of you who have got yourself vaccinated to help your family, friends and community start to look towards a brighter future.

Covid Announcement 17 Sept 2021

It is great that Victoria has now reached 70% of our first dose vaccination target. The Victorian Government has announced some new freedoms that take effect from midnight Friday 17th.

WSC Update and Kayaks, OTB Access

This current lockdown is a trying time for most of us, especially with many exposure sites scattered across Melbourne, and particularly here in the west where many members live. I do hope everyone is keeping safe and well and I know you will be doing the right thing to look after family, friends and your communities in this challenging time.

5 Aug 2021 WSC Impact from Seven Day Lockdown.

s you are aware, the Victorian Government has imposed a snap Lockdown from 11.59pm Thursday 5th August for 7 days. The intent of this lock down is to restrict unnecessary movement to prevent the spread of the virus. Further information

Announcement – Club Covid-19 Easing 27 July 2021

Following the Victorian Government announcement today, a range of restrictions will ease across Victoria tonight at 11.59pm, with travel now unrestricted within Victoria. We are pleased to inform you that the Club is allowed to be reopened to all members based on the restrictions below.
