Welcome to the Williamstown Sailing Club
Situated in Williamstown on The Strand with million dollar views of the Melbourne skyline, our club is a family oriented club that caters for sailors and fishermen as well as those who enjoy the more social side of boating.
Victorian Impulse State Titles
Over the Labour Day weekend in March, the Victorian Impulse Association will be conducting their Victorian State Titles, and also the Southern State Titles at the Williamstown Sailing Club. There are 4 sessions for racing; Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.
So come on down and watch the action of this class on the water- we are needing volunteer helpers across various activities both on and off the water over the weekend.
Williamstown Sailing club success at the Top of the Bay
Williamstown Sailing club was victorious at the Annual Top of the Bay event held between the small boat sailing clubs at this end of Port Phillip Bay on 6th Feb.
In very challenging conditions Willy boats Sailed across to Port Melbourne to compete in the race.
Well done to all those who competed, the scores between clubs were close but we came out on top.
Fishing Photo's---- Lack Off 1
Thousands of sailing photo's on the WSC website but not one of any club fishing member activities. The WSC has approx 80 fishing members, I have posted numerous fishing photo's of previous club fishing events but alas have failed to get one published.

Behind the Fleet - Deceptive Forecast, Tough Conditions
Saturday saw this year’s Club-1 group out on the water for the first time. Having completed their Learn to Sail course only a few weeks earlier, the promise of good conditions for beginners brought a number of them down to the club for their first race. The conditions though ultimately proved challenging. Despite the benign weather forecast of 15 to 20 knot winds and seas of 0.5 to 1 metre, conditions out there on Saturday were tough. The wind was quite variable and the swell seemed a lot higher than the predicted 1 metre.

Sail Training Graduation
What a great day for our latest graduates from the famous WSC Learn to Sail program to test their new found sailing wings and brave the channel and sail over to St Kilda. Under the safe guidance of Allan, Doug, Gary, Andrew & Bruce, who tagged along in the Jack Cox and an inflatable runnabout ; the team made the most of the lovely sunny and light conditions and made it over and back from St Kilda, without any major incidents. I think some had thought they would be able to stop for a coffee at St Kilda!
