Dear financial members of WSC,
CoM wish to let you know that: Notice is hereby given to all financial members pursuant to Rule 19.2(b):
 
(b) All annual and regular fees and subscriptions (including the nomination fee and the annual subscription for each class of Member, and any sundry fees) will be decided by the majority of Members (as referred to in rule 5.2(a)) present and entitled to vote at the General Meeting held in May each year.
 
The Committee of Management hereby notify members of a change in date & time and provide the required notice of this change in accordance with Rule 11.5 (a)
 
All financial members are welcome to attend the setting of regular fees and subscriptions for the 2025/2026 season. The meeting will be held on Monday 23 June at 7 pm.
 
The Committee also wish to advise members that after a thorough financial scrutiny of WSC accounts and income received, it is proposed that in recognition of a good financial return with profits from new initiatives such as the Port of Melbourne sublicence - with a guaranteed $9,000 PA plus CPI annually for the next 5 years and solid returns from Sail Training, Canteen and Bar along with the can and bottle returns that a fee increase is not required.
The Committee also recognizes the impact of the 'cost of living crisis' 'on all members' households and do not wish to impose any further financial burden to our valued membership so that the club can continue to grow and thrive.
