Enjoy the Festive Season
Published Wed 24 Dec 2025
On behalf of the Committee of Management we wish you all the very best for the festive season ahead!
It’s a time to reflect and share time with family and friends and watch the start of the Sydney Hobart on Boxing Day! For sailors its also time to hit the road for nationals.
We have a range of members competing including: Kassia Jack and Eli Fallu (‘Mirror Finish’) in the Mirror Nationals at the Wynard Yacht Club in Tasmania, Ben Glover and Ollie Halse (‘Ghost Pepper’) in the 125 Nationals in Coffin Bay, South Australia, Francis Gibson ‘Breaking News’ in the ILCA 4’s Oceania and Nationals at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania in Hobart, Leon Raymond in ‘Sandfly’ – Impulse Nationals at Altona, Gayle Gardner and Doug Kingsley ‘Gayle Force’ & John and Tilly Gibson in ‘Jack Maloney’ at the Pacer Nationals at Albert Park in late January, Peter Behrendt and Peter Yeates with “Hissing Sid’ hit the road to Largs Bay in South Australia at the end of January for the HartleyTS16 Nationals. We wish you all the very best and safe travels!
For those staying home, apparently there are plenty of fish biting! If you fancy a sail, there will be an informal sail on Saturday – you can register on Sailor App.
NEW YEAR’S EVE:
Watch the fireworks and see in the New Year at the Club!
This is a Bar only event – no BYO alcohol or soft drinks (the cheapest drinks in Melbourne!)

Members can bring up to 9 guests but must list their names on the registration page as part of our licence requirements. The BBQ and upstairs kitchen is also available. (Please take any rubbish home with you).
For security, the front door will be locked, and members can only access using their fob.
