We will be holding a Discover Sailing Day on Sunday 14 January 2018.
The day provides an opportunity to go for a short sail with an experienced sailor, meet club members, have a look around the club and find out more about the sailing courses we offer.
Come down to the club from 10am – 3pm to have a sail.
On the day there is no formal booking system in place, its simply a first-in-line approach so you may have to wait a short period whilst others finish with their sailing experience.
You can sail as a guest crew member on either a small keelboat (also known as trailable yacht), or a small dinghy sailboat. Both types of boats are no more than 18 feet or 5.5m in length, yes they’re small but lots of fun.
If you’re keen to have a sailing in one of the dinghy’s it advisable to bring some shorts, bathers or swimming gear such as wetsuit plus a change of clothes because you may get wet in the dinghy. Don’t be too concerned if you don’t have any appropriate swimming gear, the most important thing to remember is a change of cloths. Although looking at the weather forecast its going to be nice and warm on Sunday so getting a little wet may not be so bad.
Register online for the day at our club which saves you time on the day.
