Learn to sail with us in 5 weeks!

Williamstown Sailing Club is a registered Yachting Australia Training Centre.
 
The Club conducts training courses during the sailing season and these are designed for those who wish to sail a small craft. The course involves both classroom and on the water training covering the basics of sailing under the guidance of experienced sailing members of the Club. The aim is to enable students to sail a small yacht competently and gain confidence so that sailing is both safe and enjoyable. Sailing is conducted in Mirror and Pacer dinghies (two and three person boats) and a trailable five-person yacht - an Explorer 16.
 
The Learn to Sail programs for the 2010-2011 sailing season are now open for bookings.
 
We run one course in November/December and one course in February /March.  To apply for these course you need to read the two attached documents, the LTS Application Form and the Yachting Australia Enrolment Form. The first form has the information about dates, costs and other general information about the program. The Yachting Australia Enrolment Form must be printed out and filled in and sent to the club with the correct fee for the course. Bookings are not guaranteed until forms and payment are received. These forms are also available to pick up from the office at the sailing club on Saturday mornings.
 
These programs are very popular and book out quickly. Preference is given to club members to undertake the course. If you feel you are likely to continue with sailing after your course you may want to consider joining the sailing club prior to the course.
