Thank you
We would like to thank the following for their contribution to the running, upkeep and most aspects concerned with keeping this club running.
- The Volunteers who so generously give up their time and skills to man the rescue boats and tower on race days
- Vern Bedeau for our original web site that served us so well for so long
- Mission Australia for donating the new office computer
- Auscap for the sails for the "James Pearl"
- Rotary Club Williamstown
- Parks Victoria
- Hobsons Bay Council
Can you help?
The Williamstown Sailing Club is run entirely by members who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the club remains one of the best on the bay.
While many of the volunteers are happy to continue in this role they occasionally could do with some assistance to take the load off a little. Also we would like to establish skills across a variety of members to support the Club's ongoing planning efforts.
We would ask you to consider:
Would you be willing to act as in a support/assistant for the various roles around the club? For example: act as the assistant club captain, or membership officer.
The workload would not be overly onerous and it would provide an opportunity to get experience in some of the important roles at the club with support from others.
Have you any specialized skills or abilities that you would be willing offer to the club if the need arises?
Examples of skills could include:
• Building and maintenance
• Computer / information technology
• Engineering general or marine
• Marketing and promotional
• Publicity
• Planning, Design and drafting
• Legal
• Or anything else at all
Do you have any contacts who may be willing to occasionally help?
For example
• People you know who can get good deals when items need to be purchased
• Anyone we could approach to sponsor club events
If you feel you could contribute in any way please complete the attached form and return it to the front office. Alternatively email it to the club
